Harmony's Future
Oakes sponsors youth quartet award
By Linda Brehaut, International President
Recently, your IBOD worked through finalizing the details for our new IC&C youth quartet award, Harmony’s Future. Once again, my heart has grown a little bit bigger as I think of the members of this organization who are so incredibly supportive and responsive to growing Harmony, Inc. Laura Oakes, Director of Marketing and Communications and a member of Northern Blend Chapter, has graciously volunteered to sponsor this award. Laura, thank you from the fullness of our hearts – your generosity will live on in our youth members.
Convention Team welcomes new member
I am so excited to announce yet another member has stepped forward to fill a volunteer role on the Convention Team! Shannon Shelton-Muller has accepted the role of Marketing Manager for the Convention Team. Thank you, Shannon! I can only imagine how Allison and the rest of the Convention Team are feeling to know they have a full team as they work through the plans for IC&C 2023. IC&C is in good hands with an amazing team of skilled volunteers.
Harmony's heartbeat
I feel Harmony’s heart beat every time I see photos on Facebook, messages on Harmony Chat, and when I read between the lines in the emails I receive from volunteers working on behalf of Harmony. I must admit that my heart skips a beat when I hear of a chapter that is struggling and considering not renewing this year, or a member whose circumstances dictate they can no longer participate. We wish there were a way to overcome these challenges. Until we determine what those answers are, please know that there will always be a place for you in Harmony, whether it is on the risers or in our hearts.
