Almost time!

Linda Brehaut
International President

By Linda Brehaut, International President
What??? October 20 already! On my goodness, time seems to be speeding up. Or is that my heart rate, getting excited to travel and attend convention?!
In about 10-11 days we will be together again! Please travel safely and bring along your happy self.
I should share with you that my children’s choir did a little musical in June of 2022 called Let’s Sing. Being a post COVID-19 opportunity, we threw away the script and wrote our own. The bottom line of the musical was that you can’t be grumpy and sing. So… let’s all sing more! See you soon!

Less than two weeks to go!
By Allison Thompson, ICC Manager
This is it – we are two weeks away from IC&C! Your convention team is so excited to share with you a wonderful IC&C experience! Please take time to read through the important information below so that you are fully prepared to make the most of the event. Reach out if you have any questions. We can’t wait to see you in Verona!
Important information for all contestants
- Personal Belongings before going on stage: Please consider bringing nothing backstage - or at least as little as possible. Quartets should be able to put all members’ belongings in 1 bag. For small choruses, all belongings should fit in one large bag; for larger choruses, 3 bags.
- Quartet Contest: Quartets will be exiting stage right, if possible. Please plan accordingly.
- Pattern: The beginning of the pattern starts at the escalator – not the photo room. The pattern drawings are also available in the mobile app. Pattern schedules are posted on the IC&C website.
- Entrance to event center: everyone must have an AEP or ticket to enter the Event Center. If your AEP has been left in the hotel room, you will need to go back to the room to retrieve it.
- You’re a star: Acaville will have a roving camera in the backstage area to capture those special candid moments. And all contestants are invited to do an interview after their performance (entire quartet or two representatives from each chorus.) These interviews will be light and fun and can include questions like, "What did it feel like to be back on stage?" or "Is there anything special about your set that you want the audience to know?" or "Is there anyone you want to thank or mention?"
- Photo order form: don’t forget to fill out your photo order form and bring it along with your payment to the photo room.
Don’t miss a moment of IC&C
Acaville will bring the IC&C action to you - no matter where you are! Join us for a live stream – from home, from your hotel room, from anywhere! PLUS, a rebroadcast will be available so you can watch what you missed while you were in a meeting, in the pattern, or on the stage. Don't miss a minute of our return to the big stage. Learn more at https://acaville.org/harmonyinc/.
Program
There will not be a printed program on-site, but you might want to print the program to bring with you. Find it here: https://members.harmonyinc.org/files/Program.pdf
Mobile App
Don’t forget to download the IC&C mobile app for access to information during this year’s event. Find information about education classes, song lyrics, the schedule, and more! Don’t forget to create your profile so we can see who is attending! Click the link online to access the app. Detailed instructions on how to access and use the app are on the IC&C webpage.
Hospitality rooms
Stay around after the Showcase of Champions to visit one of our four hospitality areas! Join the shenanigans of a Kitchen Party, sing some tags and rounds, or hang out with your friends and watch all of our amazing quartets perform!
Any and all quartets - active, registered, pick-up - are invited to sing on the stage in the Cypress Atrium during the Hospitality time.
Single Event Tickets
Please note that ANY single event tickets (pre-purchased included) must be picked up by the individual purchasing the ticket. That person must show proof of vaccination and sign our waiver (if they have not done so in advance) before tickets will be distributed. Tickets will be available for purchase or pick-up 30 minutes before each contest session (in the Cypress Atrium.)
Dinner seating
Thank you to everyone who has chosen to join us for Saturday dinner. When you initially check-in at the registration desk, you will receive your dinner ticket. Use this ticket to enter the dinner venue on Saturday. Hang on to your ticket, because you will also use it to get priority seating at the Showcase of Champions. We will allow all members with a dinner ticket to access the Event Center 15 minutes before the doors open, to be seated in our reserved priority seating section.
The seating chart can be accessed online. For choruses with more than one table – your members can sit at any of your tables.
Event center seating
Turning Stone offers a wonderful venue for us. Because of the size of the venue, we are able to offer distanced seating on the floor of the event center. In addition, balcony seating is available to provide a seating alternative for those who want more space.
Hotel Rooms
We have had some rooms open up at the main hotel. If you are currently in one of the off-site properties and want to switch, call 1-800-771-7711 and reference the Harmony Inc. room block to update your reservation. It is on a first come, first served basis.
Please remember the following:
- The hotel cannot split your room charges. One person in your group will need to pay the entire bill, and anyone sharing the room should make arrangements to reimburse that person.
- There is a $10 per person fee for a 3rd or 4th person in your room.
- Cancellation policy is 48 hours before arrival date for full refund of your deposit.
